Performance Dates
Adjudicated sessions in Musical Theatre will be held March 30 and 31, 2012, at St. Luke's Anglican Church.
Adjudicated sessions in Junior and Senior B Vocal will be held April 19 through 21, 2012, at the Victoria Truth Centre.
Adjudicated sessions in Intermediate and Senior A Vocal will be held April 27 through April 30, 2012, at the Victoria Truth Centre.
The Musical Theatre Honours and Awards Concert will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 7:30 pm, at the Salvation Army Victoria Citadel.
The Vocal Honours and Rose Bowl Concert will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012, at 7:30 pm, at Phillip T. Young Recital Hall, University of Victoria.
Syllabus
The Syllabus contains rules and procedures, registration fees and deadlines, a list of available classes and information pertaining to performance in each of the Festival's Sections.
The entire 2012 Syllabus is available in pdf format above at the "Register" tab under "Syllabus".
Regulations that apply to the entire Festival appear at the front, followed by specific information for performers in each Section.
The printed 100-page Syllabus for the 2012 Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival is published in early November. To see the list of locations where the Syllabus is on sale ($5), go to "Where to buy the Syllabus" under "Register".
Vocal Classes
All performance information for registrants about each class (including age limits, performance time limits, fees, and more) can be found above in the list of Sections at "Classes" in the "Register" tab.
Registration
Registration dates for Vocal are from November 14, 2011 through 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2012.
The Vocal registration form for use by vocalists can be downloaded at the "Register" tab above, and delivered with payment in person to the Festival office at 210 - 932 Balmoral Road or mailed to the P.O. Box number address given here. Mailed registrations must be postmarked no later than January 14, 2012.
Payment can be made only with cash or cheque.
Registration can also be done in person on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Room 200 of the First Metropolitan United Church, upstairs at 932 Balmoral Road, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Section Heads will be present.
Provincial Candidates
Performers who wish to be considered for recommendation to the BC Provincial Arts Festival can see the PABC 2011-2012 Syllabus at http://www.bcprovincials.com/syllabus.aspx from November.
